What you'll learn
The AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner course offers a foundational understanding of AWS Cloud concepts, services, and terminology. This is a good starting point for individuals in non-technical roles with no prior IT or cloud experience or for those with “on-premises” IT experience looking for basic AWS Cloud fluency. This course teaches participants the fundamentals prior to taking a role-based AWS Certification course. In this AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner fundamental-level course, participants will learn about AWS products, services, and common solutions. Participants will also learn the fundamentals of identifying AWS services so that they can make informed decisions about IT solutions based on their business requirements.
In this course, participants will learn:
- Terminology and concepts related to the AWS platform
- How to navigate the AWS Management Console
- Key concepts of AWS security measures and AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)
After attending this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the value of the AWS Cloud.
- Understand and explain the AWS shared responsibility model.
- Understand security best practices.
- Understand AWS Cloud costs, economics, and billing practices.
- Describe and position the core AWS services, including compute, network, databases, and storage.
- Identify AWS services for common use cases.

About the exam
AWS Cloud Practitioner CLF-C01 Exam
The AWS Cloud Practitioner exam is 90 minutes long and comprises a maximum of 65 multiple choice and/or multiple response questions examining the applicant’s knowledge and understanding of the four domains of AWS Cloud Practitioner. Out of the 65 questions, 15 questions are not scored. The results are computed on a scaled score, with a score of 700 or more out of a 1000-point maximum needed to qualify for the credential.
Prerequisites
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner has no required prerequisites for admittance.
