Step-by-Step Guide Toward Your First Days at College
Now that you’re officially a SAINT as a NEW MARYVILLE STUDENT and registered for classes, you can take the next steps toward orientation this fall. Important Things to Do Now
- Obtain Financial Aid

Make sure you accept your financial aid award through Maryville’s Self-Service portal. We encourage you to add a proxy user enabling another person (parents, legal guardian, etc) to view your records, class schedule and the course catalog.

• Submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Scholarships are just one aspect of your financial aid award. You must complete the FAFSA to be considered for federal, state, institutional and need-based financial aid
• Maryville University’s School Code is 002482
• Review your financial aid award with your Admission Counselor
Send any transfer, AP, IB, 1818, and Advanced credit transcripts to the Office of Admissions: 650 Maryville University Drive, St. Louis, MO 63141. Official, electronic transcripts may be sent to admissions@maryville.edu.
Visit the Health Portal to complete the required tuberculosis questionnaire by August 1. Students living on campus have additional requirements.
Saints ID is Maryville’s digital identification card providing contactless entry to campus buildings, printing and purchases from your mobile device
Maryville offers the convenience of online student account services for electronic payments, billing, refunding and automated tuition payment plans for students.
Anyone parking on campus is required to display a parking pass. Parking is free for all students.
Download the Saints Alert campus security and weather system app and update your preferred contact information and add family members as contacts to receive updates.
Be sure to attend orientation this fall.

All students are eligible for free parking at Maryville University! If you choose to have a vehicle on campus you will need to register your vehicle with Public Safety. You will receive your window cling permit at Orientation in the fall.

You’ll meet your Life Coach at New Student Registration days. Your Life Coach will walk alongside you as you navigate the transition from high school to college. They’ll continue to support you academically, personally, and professionally throughout college and beyond graduation. The Life Coach team is here to encourage you, answer your questions and connect you to campus resources. Have a question? Email lifecoach@maryville.edu.
We offer accommodations to students with documented disabilities or medical conditions. If you had a 504 plan, IEP, or used accommodations at your last school, you may qualify for accommodations. Complete our Accommodations Inquiry Form or schedule an appointment.

Log into Canvas, Maryville’s hub for all things class related, and you’ll find Saints Certification on your dashboard. Saints Certification is a series of informational videos and activities to help you learn about the Maryville community and get connected to resources to prepare for your first semester. Your fall classes will appear in Canvas two weeks prior to the first day of classes.
Mark you calendar for New Student Orientation, which is a fun-filled weekend designed to get you connected to campus, your peers, faculty and staff. The Saints Nation Team, a team of current students, will guide you through Orientation. Watch your email for more information about Orientation throughout the summer!
You and your family are welcome to attend orientation and move-in. We even have a special course just for parents!
Students who participate in a START Day will receive their iPad while on campus. Students who participate in a virtual appointment will have their iPad shipped to them this summer.
