  • Regalia

    How to Order

    • The link to order your cap and gown is available when you apply for graduation or click here to place your order.
    • Graduates keep their cap, gown and hood, so there is no need to return them after the commencement ceremony. Cap decorating is allowed but must follow the student code of conduct.
    • Gowns should be pressed for the ceremony and remain zipped throughout the ceremony.
    • Graduates have the option to purchase their own affiliation accessories, such as cords and stolls. Graduates with Latin Honors will be provided a cord in the ceremony lineup.

  • Verify Diploma and Name Pronunciation
    • All graduates are recommended to verify the following diploma information:
      • Diploma Name/Commencement Name Pronunciation
      • Degree and Major
      • Diploma Address (address to which your diploma will be sent)
    • If you have not already verified your diploma accuracy and name pronunciation, use this link to update your information.
      • Please note: At the ceremony, the speaker will announce each graduate’s name. Indicate the phonetic spelling of your name or a familiar word that rhymes with your name in your verification form.
    • Diplomas are typically shipped four to six weeks after the end of the semester.
    • When you graduate, you will receive a Digital Diploma.
    • Email graduation@maryville.edu with further questions.

  • Continue to Check Your Maryville Email

Look for emails from graduation@maryville.edu that will be sent to your Maryville email to help keep you informed about your Commencement ceremony. Alumni are encouraged to update their contact information and submit class notes.

  • Graduate Check-in/Processional Instructions
    • Students should arrive between one hour to 30 minutes prior to the start of their ceremony. Line-up activities will begin 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.
    • Students should arrive in their regalia and holding their hood.
    • Please leave personal items with your guests as there is not a secure place to store them during the ceremony.
    • Faculty and Staff will assist in lining up the students for the processional.

  • Career Success Survey

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! As you transition to your first role after your degree or continue in a current role, we hope you know that Maryville will always be a resource for your career needs. If you are in the search process, there will be an opportunity in this survey to request to meet online, on the phone, or in-person with Career Success.

Please take a few moments to complete the Career First Destination Survey about your post-graduation plans. Summaries of the results are used for accreditation and federal and state compliance. Knowing how our graduates are doing post-graduation both ensures the future value and integrity of your degree as well as helps other students make decisions about their educational and career plans.

You can access the survey here.
