Curriculum for the Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
The Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program integrates the critical knowledge and clinical skills necessary for professional counselors through dedicated coursework and hands-on clinical experiences. This program provides educational preparation for Missouri and Illinois licensing as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or national certification as a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
Core courses: 16 courses [48 credit hours]
Specialty courses: 4 courses [12 credit hours]
In addition to the courses you will complete a Competency Portfolio throughout the program along with 3 Field Experiences consisting of 100 Practicum hours and 2 internships over several semesters.
