Curriculum for the online master’s in AI

In the online master’s in artificial intelligence, you’ll learn to develop and use state-of-the-art AI and machine learning tools, apply critical thinking and leadership skills and prepare to build a more technologically advanced world.

When you earn your master’s in artificial intelligence online, you’ll participate in experiential, project-based learning. The program culminates in a capstone project in which you’ll work with a team of peers to develop a complete AI solution to a real-world problem.

Coursework includes eight required AI core courses (24 credits) and your choice of three industry-relevant electives (9 credits).

Built-in certificates

Over the course of the master’s program, you have the opportunity to earn additional credentials. The curriculum includes the coursework required to earn a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence.

If you choose to pursue additional certificates down the road, you’ll also be able to apply 6 credit hours toward the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Machine Learning and the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Big Data.

Early access to the online master’s in AI

Current Maryville undergraduate students, take note: through Maryville’s Early Access program, you can get a head start earning your master’s in artificial intelligence online. You are eligible if you have a GPA of 3.25 or higher and you’ve completed 90 credit hours or more of your bachelor’s degree (at least 20 credit hours at Maryville).

With Early Access, you can earn up to 12 credits toward your master’s degree during the last phase of your undergraduate degree. Early Access allows you to take graduate-level courses that count toward your undergraduate and graduate degrees. These courses are billed at the undergraduate tuition rate, so you can save time and money.

If you’re majoring in computer science, data science or mathematics, you may be able to complete the AI master’s program in just one additional year.

Simplified, no-cost online application

Official academic transcripts from the college or university that awarded your undergraduate degree, and, if applicable, transcripts from any graduate institutions where courses were taken

English proficiency scores (International applicants may be required to submit scores that meet a certain threshold.)

To be eligible for admission into Maryville’s online master’s in AI, you’ll need a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
