Maryville University offers one of the Top 25 Master’s Degrees in Music Therapy nationally, according to a new ranking by The Master’s in Special Education Program Guide.
“Maryville developed a master’s degree because we realized the body of knowledge in music therapy was growing very rapidly, especially in music neuroscience,” says Cynthia Briggs, MM PsyD, MT-BC. “As the only degree program in music therapy in the St. Louis region, our undergraduate and graduate programs provide access to high quality education for students choosing to advance in this fast growing field.”
Maryville’s program has been recognized using a variety of criteria, including selectivity, graduate tuition cost, commitment to the student, and student-faculty ratio. The Top 25 list includes only schools with programs approved by the American Music Therapy Association.
