Maryville University Launches Consulting Initiative Offering Services to St. Louis Businesses

Student-Led Initiative Designed to Bridge Classroom Knowledge With Real World Impact


Maryville University has launched Maryville Business Solutions (MBS)—a student-led, faculty-guided consulting initiative within the John E. Simon School of Business. MBS is designed to bridge classroom knowledge with real-world impact, providing strategic business solutions while preparing the next generation of consultants and business leaders.

“This initiative is a great example of how Maryville is constantly strengthening our partnerships with the St. Louis business community and immersing students in a curriculum designed to teach the technical skills needed in today’s dynamic job market,” said Scott Chadwick, Dean of the John E. Simon School of Business. “Maryville Business Solutions will help give our students a unique edge in navigating today’s real-world business challenges.”

MBS, co-led by Maryville University’s Robyn Wand and Robert Barrett, will offer a suite of professional services at an affordable rate for local businesses, including: 

  • Cyber security audits and testing
  • Marketing campaign management
  • Financial health analysis
  • Strategic growth consulting

“These services will support the success of local businesses, while giving students hands-on experience developing cutting-edge solutions to real challenges local businesses are facing,” said Robyn Wand, Co-Director of Maryville Business Solutions. “Maryville Business Solutions represents a true win-win: local small businesses will gain access to high-quality professional services and students will gain valuable experience working on real-world projects.”
