Caldwell, Hollins Honored as St. Louis Innovators

Maryville University congratulates Nina Caldwell, EdD, vice president for student life, and Stacy Hollins, PhD, associate professor of information systems, who are honored as part of the 2017 Delux Power 100 awards, which recognize the St. Louis region’s most inspiring and influential African American professionals.

Delux magazine, which sponsors the awards, notes that Power 100 honorees are “those who lead, inspire, innovate and demonstrate through their individual talents, the very best in St. Louis.”

Caldwell is recognized as a Distinguished Leader in the Delux 100 for exemplary leadership in the community at large. The award also honors Caldwell for transcending boundaries and achieving progressive levels of professional responsibility.

“I am honored to be receiving the Distinguished Leaders Award,” Caldwell says. “It’s a joy and a blessing to serve in the St. Louis Metropolitan community and to build opportunities for our youth who will become our future leaders.”

The Delux Power 100 honorees were announced during a gala held Dec. 17, and they were honored along with Distinguished Leaders who were announced earlier.

Two Maryville University alumni also received recognition in the Delux 100: Rosalyn Manahan, EdD, ’10, assistant principal at Hazelwood East High School in Hazelwood, Mo., and Rodney Lewis, EdD, ’10, principal of Ballwin Elementary School in Ballwin, Mo.
