Maryville University has announced a tuition freeze for undergraduate programs in the 2016-2017 academic year, plus the consolidation of student fees into a new single fee program. Record enrollment growth and the financial strength of Maryville have positioned the University to create this savings opportunity for students and their families.

“By every measure, higher education remains the single best investment individuals can make in their future success,” said President Mark Lombardi, PhD. “Maryville is freezing tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year to bend the typical cost curve of higher education. This will ensure deserving students are given the opportunity to achieve their academic and career goals.”

The tuition freeze, in combination with the single fee structure, means full-time undergraduate students will average $600 in annual fee savings; part-time undergraduate students will average $300 in annual fee savings. Students will benefit from the predictability of a single fee, which includes textbooks and course materials, along with other services and amenities.

Augmenting these cost savings, strategic fiscal management has allowed Maryville to invest in a wide range of valuable academic resources, while reducing costs to students. Expanded campus facilities include:

• Walker Hall, new home of the Walker College of Health Professions
• Saints Hall (Maryville’s new residence hall set to open in Fall 2016)
• A newly opened, state-of-the-art, 24/7 fitness center
• Technology-rich learning spaces throughout campus

Maryville is among the top 10 percent of wired campuses in the nation. This year, iPads were provided to all traditional, first-year undergraduate students through Maryville’s Digital World program. In 2016-2017, all undergraduate students will receive iPads. Through the Maryville Cloud, students can access more than 60 apps to support their academic experience.

Innovative student services include Maryville’s new Life Coach program, a holistic approach to helping students achieve personal, academic, and career success.

With more than 6,400 students, Maryville University has doubled its student population over the past eight years.  In fact, the Chronicle of Higher Education recently named Maryville one of the top 20 fastest-growing private universities in the nation.
