Maryville University is accepting applications for a Development Director reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, responsible for raising funds to support the University and select schools/colleges.

The successful candidate will:

• Identify, cultivate and solicit individuals with emphasis on acquiring major gifts.

• Identify and recruit volunteers and manage major giving society and select school based advisory councils.

• Develop and structure major gifts including planned gifts.

• Travel as needed to cultivate and solicit alumni.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years development experience, preferably in a higher education setting; excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exudes enthusiasm and energy; flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed; travel to visit prospects required.
